Hailing a Chariot is the oldest song on the album. We began writing it not long after our first album was released in September 2009, with the "...endless flight..." section of lyrics being taken from a song originally planned for the first album but was cut due to limited space.

I don’t understand your ways, when will we get close to reaching grace? And she said…
I don’t understand your legs, and where their moving you. When will you get close to seeing faith?

Don’t let it go dear, shining what’s bright in your life is, sometimes the hardest thing to do when you’ve gone overboard, when you’ve gone overboard.

My dear sir, you’ve lost control! You’ve drown your soul in the common cold!

A call into your endless flight, they feel like they’ve lost you but I know I can touch you x2

Tie your lifelines down, we’ll hold this deck tonight. Hold your ropes tight, we’ll stay our ground till the sound of the chariots call my name.
